## Opening and evidence limits

The [Liaoning provincial government](https://www.ln.gov.cn/web/zwgkx/rdxx01_105674/2026101607295315355/index.shtml) reported on 16 October that the New Yalu River Bridge between Dandong and Sinuiju formally opened on 15 October. [Xinhua’s Japanese-language photo report](https://jp.news.cn/20261015/8cb78fa57f324cf6ae82d79c30b1c467/c.html) shows a truck on the bridge that day. The opening and an individual crossing are documented; routine customs operations, vehicle counts and freight volumes are not.

Xinhua reports that construction began in December 2010 and finished in October 2014. The 2026 opening is therefore a separate stage, not new construction. The gap between physical completion and use is a testable institutional factor for the transport model; these reports do not establish its cause.

Record `AMU-20261016-001` counts one official opening event dated 15 October and first seen 16 October, not a unit of freight flow. Customs series, operating schedules, repeated crossings and comparison with the old bridge are needed. Model coefficients and calibration are unchanged. Hidden coordination is unestablished.
